The Stem Cell Center utilizes biocellular therapy to combat the signs of aging that affect the entire body. Sun damage, sagging skin, lines, and wrinkles are just a few of the physical signs of aging. By utilizing this treatment, our patients can look and feel more youthful.
BioCellular Therapy forAnti-aging
Biocellular regenerative therapy uses stem cells, which includes mesenchymal and other types of stem cells combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), to regenerate areas of the body and combat signs of aging. These stem cells are immature cells able to stimulate and develop into other types of cells needed in the body. When the body suffers injury or disease, factors are released that signal the need for healing support, and stem cells, platelets and other cells migrate to the area to boost the reparative effort of diseased cells. Recent technology has provided us with the ability to not only direct stem cells to specific areas of the body but also to increase the amount of these cells. Fat has been found to have a high number of stem cells, which makes it an easy source of these cells.
The Stem Cell Center is unique in that it uses many options for its stem cell therapy, which includes nanofat, SVF (stromal vascular fraction), umbilical cord stem cell therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for its biocellular therapy.
Fat is extracted from the body by way of minor painless liposuction with local anesthesia and nitrous oxide gas anesthesia. The stem cells can be delivered in several ways. One way is by SVF (stromal vascular fraction) in which the stem cells are isolated by enzymatic purification of the fat. This SVF is pure stem cells that can either be injected regionally into small areas or intravenously infused into the body. Alternatively, fat can be mechanically broken down or emulsified as nanofat, which also contains large numbers of stem cells. This nanofat is introduced into the body at specific treatment sites that need healing support or rejuvenation. The stem cells work to repair and regenerate aged or damaged tissue. In addition, platelet-rich plasma is extracted through a routine blood draw and may then be injected into the body along with stem cells. The inclusion of PRP with stem cells further enhances the healing abilities of the treatment. If the patient needs added volume, extracted fat called microfat is added to the treatment site. These fat grafts are prepared but not emulsified or broken down.
Biocellular therapy adds fullness and definition to the face with microfat and removes pigmentation, dark circles and wrinkles with nanofat and PRP. These various treatments lessen the effects of aging and refresh and rejuvenate the face.
Lines on the neck and the effects of sun damage are improved with a combination of treatments using nanofat and microfat.
Chest and Breasts (Decollatage)
The chest, breasts, and shoulders often show significant sun damage with pigmentation changes and increased wrinkling. Biocellular therapy can aid in the restoration of smooth skin and an attractive upper chest and breast region.
A combination of microfat and nanofat refreshs the appearance of the hands by increasing fullness and reducing the aged appearance. With aging, the hands lose the normal plump appearance and develop unattractive pigmentation and wrinkles. Combined therapy with microfat injections and superficial stem cell treatment help smooth the skin, restore fullness, and eliminate the obvious signs of aging.
We have had success in stimulating dormant hair follicles with biocellular therapy. Though many doctors rely on PRP alone to increase hair growth, it may not be as effective as treatment which also includes stem cells. This treatment not only promotes hair growth but reduces the risk of hair loss as well.
Many patients will find success after one treatment. However, we may determine that multiple treatments will be more effective at achieving your treatment goals.
Systemic Cellular Treatments
Recent research has demonstrated that stem cell infusions may improve systemic diseases and preemptively fight against the aging process. These injected cells seek areas of injury or disease throughout your body. Some studies have preliminarily shown that chronic illnesses, such as multiple sclerosis, autoimmune disorders, pulmonary, and cardiac disease may have improved with these cell infusions. This technology has the potential to change the face of medicine. Multiple stem cell types are isolated from either umbilical cord tissue or the patient’s adipose (fat) tissue. These tissues can be used for either intravenous infusion or direct injection into joints or diseased tissues.
Umbilical Cord Stem Cell Therapy
Umbilical cords are obtained from newborns by a licensed laboratory with the permission of the family. Wharton’s jelly is the gelatinous tissue of the cord surrounding its vascular structures. The numerous stem cells and healing factors within the Wharton’s jelly of the umbilical cord are then isolated, prepared, stored, and standardized. All cord tissue has been tested to make sure that no diseases are present or could be transmitted. Since we do not use cord blood, there is no immune response. Therefore, no added antibodies will be produced that could prevent future organ transplantation if needed.
The umbilical cord cell infusion therapy has been used to treat a wide variety of systemic diseases, but this therapy is considered investigational. When all conventional therapies have been exhausted, patients may wish to undergo infusions for pulmonary, cardiac, and autoimmune diseases in addition to anti-aging or wellness.
Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF)
We use the latest technology to harvest the highest number of regenerative cells and growth factors from a small amount of the patient’s adipose (fat) tissue. The stem cells are obtained through minor, essentially painless, liposuction in which local anesthetic is injected into the area. The patient may also inhale a safe mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen to reduce anxiety. These stem cells are then concentrated and purified by a special enzymatic process and then given back to the patient intravenously. The entire process takes less than two hours. Patients benefit from a virtually painless procedure that takes little time but promotes optimum health.
Stem cells (SVF) are not used to treat, diagnose, or cure any disease as a first-line treatment. However, SVF has the potential to treat a wide range of diseases. If a first-line therapy either fails to resolve the symptoms or produces intolerable side effects, you may then elect investigational modalities of treatment, such as stem cell (SVF) infusion therapy. The potential benefits of autologous stem cell infusion for eligible patients may include improvement in certain degenerative, autoimmune, cardiac, and inflammatory conditions.
The cell processing and injection protocol are performed under a strict protocol with an Investigational Review Board (IRB) as safety is the major priority.
All protocols used in this process are within strict guidelines set forth by the Global Alliance of Regenerative Medicine USA (GARM Regenerative Medicine USA). It is an internationally recognized organization in the field of regenerative medicine that approves both stem/stromal cell-based and biocellular therapies for a number of health conditions.
“The beauty of bioCellular therapy is that the treatment uses your own cells to rejuvenate you! It does not involve any foreign chemicals or foreign tissues!”
