Fat is harvested from your body through minor liposuction. This is done while you are numbed with local anesthesia and usually takes less than an hour. The fat is then purified in the centrifuge, where unwanted oils are removed. After this, the purified fat is carefully injected into the targeted area. The provider creates a three-dimensional grid, or structure, just below the skin, which ensures that the desired result is achieved and long-lasting.
The end result is beautiful contouring and smooth, supple skin, with postoperative soreness that lasts just a day or two. Some patients may experience minor swelling or bruising for up to three weeks, but your provider will be able to offer you some simple solutions to keep minimize side effects.
